Pros

Great benefits- 401k match program, more PTO than many other companies at every level, friendly work environment

Cons

The salaries could be higher and the ability to grow quickly if you are great at your job is not there. Too much "red tape" in certain instances.

Pros

Great resources, we get what we need to do the job, winning is important. Generally, that is good for the audience, sometimes not.

Cons

Failure to hang onto seasoned people with deep institutional knowledge of local and national news sources. I get going younger and cheaper for long term development, but that often has come at the cost of shedding some very valuable people whose experienced and editorial judgement is sorely missed.
