Pros

Great work life balance and telework policy. Lots of development opportunities for younger employees. Awesome mission

Cons

Large gaps in age demographic make it hard to advance your career. Older culture and changing political climate stall and delay innovation and change.

Those Who Do vs Those Who Don't

Pros

There is no agency like it. Rich in history and with a renewed focus on Mars exploration it is an exciting time to work for NASA

Cons

There are a lot of folks who have worked there 30, 40, 50 years. I am all for historical knowledge BUT it seems like very little is expected from these employees. With these employees holding higher GS level billets, lower level employees are expected to pick up all the slack which in turn drives younger employees away. Time there doesn't translate into great work.

Pros

The Mission. The people. The work/life balance.

Cons

Government. Bureaucratic. Don't get rid of poor performers
