Pros

Lot's of opportunities to be promoted. Very easy to communicate with superiors and to prove yourself. Pay can be negotiated. Great culture as in Modell's prides itself on its customer satisfaction practices. Depending on your General Manager it is easy to request certain days off.

Cons

Health Benefits are awful for management. 6 day work weeks during holidays can be strenuous. Lack of localized allocations. Modell's tries to be current and modern, but miss the bar on ordering, store appearance, and processes. Favoritism to certain stores. Can be Dog eat Dog, but its like that any where.

Pros

Getting a paycheck weekly, 7-4 shifts, & approves days/vacations requested off.

Cons

Assistant Managers have to do more tasks/workload than the Store Managers for a low salary. Too much responsibility & you have to do everything on your own w/ poor training & minimal help. Besides daily work overload District Managers & Corporate headquarters add on stress/more work w/ surveys, recalls, transfers, immediate actions, markdowns, cycle counts on short notice & they want it done immediately. Store Managers treat Associates like dirt & pressured me to be mean, write them up for dumb reasons, assign unnecessary jobs, & fire them. They just spoke their mind or the other managers didn't like them when overall they were good Associates. You have to work in the company for yrs. To even a tiny lousy raise. No room for advancement unless upper management quits, gets fired, or croaks. White male managers get paid a higher salary than any female manager so being a female Hispanic female is worse
