Pros

Co-workers hired are normally good people to be around. The discount is nice but could be better. No one is really power hungry.

Cons

Management throughout the company is poor. Store managers are unprofessional and district and regional managers are way too demanding for the current market. Most of the products carried are poor quality, appeals to lower income families.

Pros

The work was simple, sometimes.

Cons

Managers playing favorites, plotting to backstab those that they don't get along with (or that just speak out against the higher ups). Hours shift way too much. You could either get too many or not enough. The pay is awful.

Pros

the co-workers: most are friendly & I made lasting relationships with some, flexible schedule, weekly pay check, sick day checks, holiday pay and time and half some days, there is a 20% discount on reg priced items and there are associate days where you can get 33% off. Basically a good first job for young adults (ages 17-20), you will learn about hard work and the value of a dollar.

Cons

under appreciated, under payed, overworked at times. Customers can be nasty, they will try and scam cashiers. Near next to impossible to get a raise by hard, you have to wait until the union gives you a raise and it only about 10-15 cents. Very difficult to move up in the company in store level. During hot market times you will work alot and have long hours. Hard work gets overlooked.
