Pros
I haven’t been with Mil Mujeres for very long (just under 3 years), but I already can’t imagine working anywhere else. The feeling you get when you help another person through a difficult time is indescribable and being able to help those who need who are so often overlooked by our country’s legal system is the #1 reason I get out of bed in the morning. The company itself isn’t religiously affiliated, but my Christian values have taught me that whatever you do for one of the least of God’s children, you do for God himself, and I can’t imagine anything closer to the Lord’s work than helping the underprivileged of society.
Cons
The only real con I can think of is that we never seem to have enough funds to do as much good as this world needs. There’s too many people who need our help and too few of us, but I keep faith because I know the lord provides.
