Pros
Midas is pretty likely to hire you, especially if you have some experience or if that particular place is looking for someone. I think it was a pretty okay place to get started like I did since you will be working with very experienced mechanics. Basically you will be exposed to some of the major fixes like CV axles, strut replacement, fuel pump replacement, etc.
Cons
Corporate tends to put a lot of pressure on its managers to get results while honestly doing little themselves. So some managers will try to cut corners or fit in stuff that just don’t. Also the majority of locations deal with customers that really don’t care about maintenance. So prepare to cringe at the cars you may have come through.
