Pros

Flexible hours. Easy to book off days two weeks in advance (although you won't get want you want all the time). 7h+ shifts you get two breaks and one lunch. Holiday pay.

Cons

Management purposely shortens your shifts so you can get the least possible amount of breaks. Customers are very demanding and entitled. No holiday shifts. Washrooms are unkept. If someone in the front end calls in sick your shift gets extended.

Pros

Metro is a good employer to work for. Fair hours and management listened to what workers have to say. Good benefits after you work over a year at Metro.

Cons

Working at Metro you don't receive pay increase until a total working threshold is met. Took me about a year or two of part time work to get a $0.25 increase above minimum wage.

Pros

Fast paced; kept busy for entire shift, and the other employees are very friendly.

Cons

Can become boring and stressful for a minimum wage paying position.
