Dead End Job with Constant Feeling of Being Overworked
Pros
The schedule is relatively flexible. The work is not very difficult and it's easy to find front service clerk jobs.
Cons
Overall: Dead end job with a constant feeling of being overworked and underpaid. If you work part time 7 hours/day, you only get 2 15 minute breaks including the time it takes you to get to the staff break room, warm up your food in the microwave, eat, pack up and get back to work. You practically have 3-5 minutes to eat your lunch and hope you won't be late. Generally I felt overworked because there were only 2 baggers for like 10 cash registers during the weekdays. The salary is poor and it's a dead end job. A lot of things were disorganized (especially beer bottles in the back store), and very poor sanitation. If you're a high school student looking for a simple part time job on the side, it's not too bad. But I wouldn't recommend this job to someone who wants to move up the ladders and seek fulfillment.
