Pros

Good starting salary of €32000 with no experience. Nice office and city centre location. Good training provided. Good social scene - much to the dismay of a lot if people in there.

Cons

A lot of people have left in the past 2 years and not been replaced including managers. A lot of old legacy systems that they say they are getting rid off but no sign of that. A lot of egos around the office with nothing to back it up in terms of work completed. People have been promoted without enough experience. Decisions from above not always disseminated adequately.

Pros

Location and campus were the only two positives during my tenure with MetLife

Cons

No support from Management, Slow to No Response from Help Desk, Old systems. Your entire schedule is micro managed, big push for metrics with lack of employee training. Caller scripts that are robotic . If this is a great place to work like management portends it to be, why so much turnover??

Pros

If you’re in a stage of life where you want a steady job with decent benefits and minimal contribution at work then MetLife is the place for you. Just be sure to be a “Yes” man. Might get the right lessons to survive the old Corporate America

Cons

No respect for employees Serious lack of culture No innovation People managers with NO leadership skills or vision Politics, camps, calibration is fixed, my way or the highway all very common HR dept that is supposed to serve the internal customers - employees is probably the worst. Some of the most incompetent people work there Lack of growth opportunities or challenges - you are hired for one role and are expected to live out your career in that role Constant reorganization- High churn rate Even after a huge rebranding exercise, there is no sense of purpose or belonging
