Pros

Work from home Benefits (good health insurance)

Cons

Everything other than the 2 pros Giving this a 1 star rating is a compliment. This job is a complete joke, the top 20% of agents are making great $ but it's impossible to get to that level when you're starting in Tier 3 and literally every single call is $800/month or ineligible. Management is a complete joke, training is a complete joke. The computer systems are the worst in the industry. And when ppl do quotes online the information doesn't even transfer to agents' systems and the prices they are quoted online is usually 1/4th of what it actually is. Joining this company was the biggest mistake I've ever made in my professional career. I figured a company with Metlifes portfolio would have their act together but obviously they're just a good Property & Casualty insurance provider. They want the perfect customer and nothing else! Unless your credit score is 800 you're getting quoted 5x or more everyone else's rate. Homeowner? Married! Clean driving history for life? Been with the same company for 10 years? How's $900/month sound for 100/300/100 on 2 cars... join MetLife if that sounds like your kinda sales pitch! You'll go far!

You can't fit a square peg in a round hole

Pros

Great people to work with other than the outsourcing departments to different non-English countries. Flexible work environment with increasingly better technology. Reputation within the industry.

Cons

MetLife try's to make a multi-faceted company fit into a narrow rabbit hole. They rest on the laurels of the MetLife brand and pay well below average, and the once generous bonuses are now gone. The corporate management is a political bull ring.
