Pros

The people you work with are the best, they are always willing to help you. Flexible hours, good work life balance for the most part, great if you are a diversity candidate. Benefits are decent.

Cons

Focus is not on its people. Company use to be a culture about its people. You would always hear from the CEO, with the current CEO you rarely hear from him and he is not people oriented. Company has let go too many people with knowledge of the business and rely on outsiders who know nothing about Insurance. With cutbacks, people are asked to do more with less and it's getting very old. Bonuses being cut and salaries are not great. Always changing direction within the company.

Company is in complete disarray

Pros

Ability to telecommute if your management allows it. Bonuses are still provided if applicable due to performance. No further pros.

Cons

Massive layoffs and restructuring as the result of the retail separation. Morale is very low especially for employees who were in departments that were eliminated and given the option to apply for newly created positions that are identical to their former role that was eliminated. Others are nervous if they will have a job. Work environment is challenging as there are rarely any procedures in place to guide employees to perform their jobs well. Poor or no communication among teams which leads to projects failing miserably or delays in deployment. Clueless and largely absent management that are unable to provide adequate guidance to their employees. The company has changed for the worst in the past 10+ years that I have been here.

Run away, or be miserable

Pros

none, unless you like lies and deceit? Nice facility in Cary but open seating is awful. free fake coffee, and the food is over priced in cafe.

Cons

no work life balance, new moms cant take time, have to use FMLA to take care of family, its toxic and lots are miserable. Management is just undermining each other to get the few AVP or SVP jobs there are.
