Pros

Great benefits, great colleagues. Huge company. Good technology. Great high level goals.

Cons

Co-workers and managers can be abrasive and no one manages them. Managers can be focused on non-performance related aspects of workplace environment like telecommuting to the detriment of their reports well being. No comp time when you telecommute on weekends or nights. Do they even wonder why they are losing good people? No exit interviews. I think that makes the point. I would have stayed if they had kept their promises - I wanted to stay - I was pushed out - I felt they gave me no alternative but to leave.

Pros

Love the glass windows on any floor above the 2nd floor facing the parking deck

Cons

Where did the paper go? For the last 3 to 4 weeks it is next to impossible to find paper for the printers in Met01 Building. The consultants leave the printers empty. I have to go to steal paper from printers on other floors to print my documents. It is bad enough, the flow of employees resigning; but the company does not have the cash for printers?

Pros

Great new campus, great people, some interesting challenging projects. Salary at market level, annual bonus. A lot of open positions, pretty easy to convert from a consultant to an employee.

Cons

Hard to get a promotion based on merit and performance, all jobs are given to old-timers. Most of the managers spent their entire careers ate MetLife, never saw anything else and are unable and unwilling to drive change. Very little attention to the development processes and tools, all energy goes into managing projects and budgets. The development tools are mediocre, no tracking of enhancements, defects, tests cases. No real quality assurance. Business controls all aspects of application development without understanding what development means. The team work is not encouraged or valued, all rewards and evaluations are done individually and usually the worst team players get the most praise. The senior management seems ok and are definitely trying to do the right thing but it can't be done without massive cultural change that will focus on team work and modern development principles.
