Pros

For FSRs - independence and flexibility.

Cons

Experience of FSRs is very different from that of salaried employes. Being a FSR is like running your own business. It takes time to build. There are lots of expenses and MET always gets paid first. You pay for everything.

Pros

Great place to start a career with insurance. Decent training programs in classroom and online. Most of the managers are helpful in regards to the work-life balance.

Cons

Lousy raises that are not annual increases. Mangagement is extremely cliquish. They constantly talk about other employees therefore everyone seems to know your business. Most of the employess live locally and have never worked at any other companies, hence minimal growth.
