Pros

People count! MetLife is a great place to work and advance. There are many departments and a way to gook for jobs within the company if you so choose. Family atmosphere.

Cons

Large corporation can make it hard for individials to find eachother and seek out resources. Public company so there is much scrutiny.

Pros

It is an okay job but it depends on your client base. if you have a good base youll do fine

Cons

all commision based. this can lead to very wild swings in pay and it is not based upon knowlege or ability to sell just dumb luck sometimes

Pros

Great company to work for, great products as well. Support from other financial services representatives was outstanding. The company itself takes great care of their people

Cons

Underwriting was brutal. Unable to access corporate email anywhere but the office. "Big Brother" of compliance is constantly creating distractions for inane things in your email. Management was phenomenal until their bonuses off of your production were cut. After that, you couldn't get any kind of support and were pushed only towards the big money products as opposed to things that were in the best interests of your clients.
