Pros

Flexible schedule, many departments and divisions if looking for opportunities to move forward within the company

Cons

Experience with a manager who gave new opportunities to favorite reps instead of reps who'd earned the opportunities. Also did most of the managing from the phone or email instead of hands on assistance in the field.

Pros

Fast-paced, big company pockets / room for growth, management encouragement / support for training / career growth, work time flexibility, benefits.

Cons

High Security (Must use slooooow VM for almost everything, No Access to Local Drives from VM, approval needed even for free / trial software even if add-in for paid / installed software by vendor of same) Big / Financial Company Bureaucracy (change free periods ~6 mos / yr., change review boards prior to production DB / Exe changes and even one-off development tools) Low culture (i.e. in-house box lunch & weekly candy vs. x-mas party, qtrly awards / in-house luncheon, no group employee activities away from work)

Pros

Flexible hours ability to make however much you want Good training

Cons

You basically run your own business, which means out of pocket for almost everything. Benefits outside of healthcare and 401k are very small. The don't even offer free coffee. At the end of the day, its all about production. If you don't produce and make sales like a big shot, you are overlooked. No real chance of promotion. You can only grow in this job, which gets very frustrating after a few years, especially with the fact the compensation decreases as you get more years in. After your 4th year, you pay for everything. Work space, secretary, paper, etc. All this is taking out of your commision pool....up to 1,000/month
