Pros

- Stable company - Fortune 50 firm - Industry leader

Cons

- Tough to advance - The work can be mind numbing - Some management hires based on friendship. Certainly not competence. - As an Analyst we don't actually analyze just continually code spreadsheets - The technology is a bit disappointing (slow, old) considering the company

Pros

I used to say the benefits but while they give you a reasonable amount of paid time off, they don't provide enough opportunities to use it. If you want a week off in September you better know that the previous November or else your not getting the time off and even then there may not be enough slots available for you to take that week.

Cons

It is hard to specify pros when the company is slowly removing all the perks. Work life balance no longer exists and if they can outsource your job they will.

Pros

Large global company, solid US business. Fairly decent benefits, although watch out for bonuses, often disappointing regardless of how well the company does.

Cons

Absent management, CEO already retired in his mind, no longer steering the ship excpet to sue the government/regulator (bad idea, limited liklihood of major success)! Global Employee Benefits area a total disaster, business is still managed locally, Global central teams have zero influence and zero engagement with the local business units. The area survives on PR and smoke and mirrors and an absence of reall tangible, measurable targets. Finance function is old fashioned audit/accounting focused, entire objective is to project and report quarterly earnings to the street. Actual performance is never discussed.
