Pros

The owners really care about people. They try super hard to take care of their employees and treat them with respect. They care about your family and are very understanding. They pay super fair for the industry....probably the best around.

Cons

Some of the salespeople are a pain

Solid place to work, or gain experience

Pros

The best thing is the value they place on employees. The good employees are valued and they do their best to hang onto them, you can really feel that in the annual company meetings. The owners seem to work hard to ensure it's a good place to work by minimizing benefit costs to employees, keeping the growth on an upward trend, trying to stay ahead of the curve, etc. The pay was definitely above average from what I expect a comparable position at another dealer would pay, which is always nice. Decent work/life balance (as long as you're not in car sales). Middle management seems to have a very realistic view on business and the world, and doesn't expect miracles when they know full well that it won't happen, and recognize that the employees are only human. Willing to train and nurture people who come to them with little/no experience, and recognize skills they can contribute, and try to promote/place that person accordingly. Fantastic growth over the last few years, and the trend is still rising. Great coworkers who all have good attitudes in general. Overall a pretty comfortable place to work, and not what I expected out of a car dealer.

Cons

Hey, it's still a car dealership. It's still a competitive sales environment (in those positions), and you can expect to be booted for someone else with the promise of doing one better. While middle management is pretty grounded in reality, the upper management is still very numbers-focused (high standards, I suppose), and will apply that pressure down the chain of command. Pay plans can change with no notice. Also, I never once received a formal performance review, which is a very important thing to let you know where you stand against their standards and your coworkers, especially in a sales environment.
