Pros

-Laptop provided to all employees. -Work life balance and flexible timings , can work from home occasionally. -Good number of leaves. -Most of the projects are in general shifts(9.30 to 6.30). -Employees are treated with respect. You feel valued here. P.S. : work culture, promotions, increment depend a lot on your manager.

Cons

Cons: - No transport provided for general shift employees. Can be a problem if you dont have your own vehicle and stay far away from office. - No long term onsite. So people looking for h1bs and long term onsite will be disappointed.

Pros

APT has social, young, fun work environment and I work with great team members. Additionally, the senior management seems to highly value employee feedback. The compensation is very good and there many opportunities to get pretty significant raises if you work hard. The company cares a lot about growing employees from within, so if you are committed to staying at APT there is a lot of opportunity to learn and rise.

Cons

I work 9am - 9pm most days and usually a little bit every weekend as well. This is the norm for client services/marketing (or even a little bit less than the norm), but not engineering. There are very limited exit opportunities because APT values highly specific skills, many of which are not translatable. The company looks down on grad school as well and does not sponsor any graduate degrees. Lastly, the company is quite conservative and old fashioned in its way of doing business so not at all like a young tech startup (likely because much of senior leadership come from 1990's consulting background).

Pros

Good bonus Flexible environment Average Pay Pay is increased when industry increases pay overall Great savings plan

Cons

Medical expenses are pushed back to employee Poor to no cost of living raises year over year If you are any good, you literally can expect 60-90 hours a week. Yes I said 90 hours a week for projects for long durations. MasterCard is well known in the industry for working folks to death, breaking up families, etc.. The reason you see some folks saying balance is good while others refer to it as a sweat shop is that if you are good you get worked to death, if you are not you get buried in some mundane task until you leave. The people that last at MasterCard are the ones that stay under the radar. Reactive culture vs. proactive. Fire fighting is the norm vs. high quality processes and work. They don't use innovative technology in St. Louis Getting promoted is based entirely on popularity than work or successes I've managed for a while and I've never interviewed an American or anyone local to the St. Louis area. All resources I get are Indian or Chinese and are generally imported from other countries to work here as low cost labor under sweat shop conditions. Management is constantly posting positive things about work/life balance on Glassdoor to bring in new talent and have a whole campaign around MasterCard trying to convince employees it is a great place to work.
