Bullying and Toxic work culture in Dubai

Excellent medical insurance, great brand on CV, multinational company, nice building

Cons

The work culture in Dubai is still lagging behind other Mastercard regions. Most of employees are being hired from one nationality which has created a bullying and single-minded culture. Employees spend most of their time on preparing presentations and updates for management instead of focusing on customers. HR is weak and don't do anything to stop the bullying behavior within the organization, quite often they try to rationalize the situation in an attempt to justify the bullying as something else. The MEA president is not popular and he created a culture of fear.

Current CEO is impressive and is probably the only one who walks the talk especially on DECENCY quotient. The company benefited from the established payment network build since association days and now simply take off riding the wave of e-commerce.

Cons

Rest of management are pure followers and many simply climb the ladder thru connections, songs and dances and practising lip services. A MNC from the outside, at best a global company with SME management mentality in the inside. Many of the xVPs and VPs are well in the frogs and brought in as they speak the 'same' language and take the same food. Immatured internal processes churning negative vibes in vicious cycle.
