      Pros

      1. Important mission 2. Dedicated staff- some of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with 3. Commitment to dignified service and empowering community members

      Cons

      1. Culture of chaos that results in constant turnover, exhausted and disgruntled staff 2. There is no autonomy in your work- at every level you are micromanaged dis-empowered 3. There is no respect for personal lives- you’re expected to work long hours, answer emails and calls after hours and on weekends, etc.

      Pros

      The pay was decent but you had to be friends with the CEO to be properly compensated.

      Cons

      CEO is terrible and out of touch with reality. She pits the org against the board and gets in the way of healthy work relationships. Work/life balance does not exist. If you want to dedicate your life to the job this is the place for you. The leaders are petty and act as if this was high school and they are the mean girls who talk about everyone. If you are a decent person don’t waste your time.

      -Kind People -Great to work with Children -Community member amazing - Good Intentions -Nice building

      Cons

      -Constant change of mission and internal goals -turn over -nasty staff -poor management -no professional development -most employees are disgruntled -benefits are not good
