Pros

Great employee benefits - 401k match, a good amount of vacation time, and discounted rates for employees at Marriott hotels. Management is really personable and very accommodating for scheduling hours and time off. Co-workers were great to work with and always very welcoming to new employees. The sales and marketing department is located on the Newport Coast Villas site, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful office location to work.

Cons

Compensation plans frequently change and consequently, it's hard to project how much you will make for the year. Not a lot of opportunity to promote within the sales and marketing department.

Pros

You will work with some of the greatest sales people in the industry. You will find that most, if not all, of the sales staff has compassion and experience with how to deal with the struggles that everyone faces at one time or another. Mentoring and understanding will only go so far, because each and every salesperson will have to find his or her own path to success. Some things are difficult to duplicate, but if you learn the basics and build a foundation to build upon, than you will give yourself the opportunity to succeed.

Cons

Management, C-Level, and Policy. With a mediocre product, in my opinion, you will struggle to help your clients see the benefit unless you truly believe in what you're offering. I suggest you sincerely look at what your offering and find a way to believe in it, because if you can't than you will not succeed.

Pros

Very laid back and fun environment to work, no micro managing at all. Nice facility.

Cons

Some managers are better than others. No ongoing sales training, or help improving sales when asked. Mostly left to your own devices to sink or swim. Also, disrespectful comments to some subordinates, unprofessional management conduct.
