Pros

Good wage for a PT gig. Fun atmosphere.

Cons

Lack of proper training. Demands to be the #1 priority in your life. Schedule problems: you either won't get shifts or will be "required" to work shifts you cannot. Nearly all evening shifts. Proper uniforms not in stock. Lack of an adequate break. They allow nothing more than a 20min break regardless of length of event. Shifts given based on seniority: impossible to get shifts as new employee except for the ones that nobody wants to work. Unless you live in the area, it is not worth the time or transportation for a 5-6 hour shift.

Great people, pay is good for what we did, supervisors are easy going, get to watch games.

Cons

Hard to move up, some politics with the company like their usually is. Very strict about attendance.

Pros

Get to feel like part of the teams that the city loves. Great employee recognition. Access to events and tickets to a certain extent.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company provides a really low pay scale for entry and mid-level employees due to ease of replacement for cheaper talent because everybody wants to work for The Leafs. There is also a lot of politics, but i suspect no less than any other organization. Work life balance is a challenge. Events are always on the weekend. If position is not event based, then its usually not a problem.
