Pros

Stipends for graduate students are higher than other places. Funding generally lasts for 5 years if you are in a PhD program. There are many opportunities to get funding for research through the university.

Cons

Work conditions vary dramatically depending on the lab and department. Graduate students work hard for little pay and have a lot of uncertainty about whether they will find an academic position even with a PhD.

Pros

Very free in terms of allowances in the workplace, not strict, non-limited internet access, HUGE amount of resources

Cons

None that I can think of. There is a very serious work ethic, people work extremely hard, you should fit in.

Pros

You can work with the most intelligent people from all over the world. You can always be inspired by the brilliant ideas and learn a lot you can never imagine. Come and join us.

Cons

There is not much downsides. The only thing that I will complain is the the restaurant nearby are not very good. And the housing is a little bit expensive.
