Pros

Boston is a nice and calm city. MIT is a very large campus and yes, it's MIT.

Cons

MIT is fully immersed in the academic trend of publish or perish for many research groups. Never witnessed so many meetings where egocentric principal investigators (PI) would just plainly lie about their research outcomes for money or collaborations. But if you're still OK with that, then just go. It's MIT, can't be bad. Please make sure your communication with the PI is fine. There is still good research going on, you just need to find where.
