Pros

Due to the size of the group there is a great range of career paths one can go down relatively easily. Switching areas of focus is easy and fairly normal so it is ideal for those who like to change things after a few years. Plenty of opportunities for global travel. Good benefits package.

Cons

In some of the larger business units there is endless bureaucracy to deal with. Also compensation, while not awful, could be better. One has to choose between more money with a less flexible workplace elsewhere or freedoms Maersk allows at a slightly lower wage.
