Corporate home office not a welcoming environment, Departments are quite siloed, Communication from top down not consistent or always present

Pros

Adequate pay and bonus structure.

Cons

No support from upper management. No support from team. Everyone just does their job which is good but people do the bare minimum to keep their job. Nobody works as team. Office staff does not support maintenance staff. Property Managers micro-manage maintenance staff. Company still uses hard copies of files and maintenance work orders instead of doing it on computer. Unnecessary paperwork required which just makes everything take 10 times as long.

Pros

* chance to make lots of money via commissions * if you have a large enough team, able to switch schedule * competitions with monetary prizes * job security

Cons

* extreme pressure to lease. You can be nagged daily about prospects. * management believes your tour is the deciding factor for prospects instead of upgrading and keeping up with market demands * lower base pay than competitors * high turnover * terrible sick day amount * NO MATERNITY BENEFITS. This is terrible as many of the staff are child bearing age * not much opportunity to grow. Company set up like a pyramid, so everyone won’t be an APM, PM or RVP * did I mention unrealistic pressure to get prospects to lease and residents to renew.
