Pros

The discount is amazing (50% off most products) and the people are some of the nicest I've ever met. You learn a lot on the job and are encouraged to sample as much as possible. The ethics of the company are admirable.

Cons

You're on your feet for hours at a time so your feet, legs, and sometimes whole body can ache after a shift. Hours are sporadic and lunch is quite short. Pressure to push sales.

Pros

You can be yourself and exercise your own ethics in the way you work. No harsh targets and good opportunity to increase your awareness of what really goes on in the retail, consumer, or even political world.

Cons

Staff can feel pretty disposable. It's a great company to work for so if you're not happy to devote your soul to business success there will always be someone else to replace you. Still worth the experience for a few years though.
