Pros

50% off Some colleagues were friendly

Cons

Forcing staff to harass customers has to stop. I was taken to one side and told off numerous times for not forcing myself on people that clearly did not want to be spoken once I had already greeted them. I enjoyed the job at first, as I feel like they start you off gently, but once I had been there a few weeks that all changed and I realized a job harassing people to buy soap was not for me.

Pros

Fantastic opportunity to grow within company. Great pay and discounts.

Cons

I HATE the rule of reapproaching customers over and over. As someone who shopped at Lush for a long time before working there, I can say for a fact that as a customer I hated it too. It comes across as desperately pushy and if anything I feel like I drove most of our customers away. When I wasn't feeling up to pushing I would watch for people who actually wanted the assistance or wait until someone asked me for help. In the mean time I would clean, restock or provide demonstrations of products. I always had more success with that but I would still be told off by managers, asm or supervisor. I left feeling as though I was terrible at my job and at retail in general
