Pros

Amazing benefits: - 50% Staff Discount - Free Spa treatment once a core member - Discount at nearby vegan cafes - Councelling - Maternity leave is amazing. Amazing team to work with Everyone is enthusiastic and positive Managers are good at spotting negativity amongst workers and try hard to diminish that. They are also very warming, understanding of any personal problems Paid staff meetings (usually in retail this isn't common) You actually feel apart of a team as opposed to other high street stores. Fabulous training, you learn so much about everything. Always learning, no matter how long you've worked there. Everyone has the chance to progress quite quickly. Paid to work at Lush Summits!!!!! Hosting Lush parties, which means you get to make some products too. Free products, the broken, the ugly, the discoloured, also tester pots, when they become half empty, the products that are out of season, staff get to keep a lot of stuff. The fact that you can get half price exclusives too when you visit their Poole or Oxford Street stores! People always tell you smell like Lush too which is never bad! Only 1 sale a year really, so that too is a bonus imo.

Cons

It's tiring work, quite mentally draining being that chatty, that happy all the time, expected to do several demos on every customer. It affected loads of newbies, but you have to find a way to make it work for you to overcome it. The hours are short, because it's so mentally draining for so many. Not all Lush stores are the same, depending on management, some are more welcoming with better staff with better product knowledge, some you can tell that the staff hate being there. But since there's no area manager within Lush, it causes this as a problem unfortunately. (E.g. I wanted to work closer to home, but the staff in that store are all older women who only seem to like you if you come across as a 'local' doesn't matter if you're on brand or not, therefore the store isn't progressing, neither are the staff) Fortunately, that's not my store, there aren't a lot of cons on my store :D

Pros

- 50% discount is amazing! - staff are all super friendly and welcoming. -management are great! They provide a fantastic support network and are super understanding about everything! - I get to work with ethical products that I am genuinely passionate about!

Cons

- around Christmas customers can get a bit grumpy but that’s understandable. - at first I was a little stressed out about having to talk to everybody that walks in the door (especially when most of the time they don’t want to be bothered) but it’s somwthing you quickly get used to. - there’s A LOT of stuff to remember.
