Very cliquey, I was on the same contracted hours as a couple of others and was given half the hours every week, where as they got a lot more, as I wasn't in the right friendship group.
I'm not a flamboyant kind of person, I was constantly taken out the back and told off for not being overly bubbly.
Being spoken to like a child by colleagues and management.
The sales techniques are too full on, many customers would shout at you because they wanted to be left alone. A few customers spoke to me about how nice it was to talk to someone who wasn't shoving products down their throats.. and then a few minutes later I'd be taken out the back by a supervisor and told I didn't do a good enough job.
Constantly nagged to sing and dance in the shop, I never sing in front of anyone! Let alone at work.
On my second to last shift I was told to study some ingredients. I pointed out I was leaving, and was told if you don't study these ingredients then I will send you home unpaid and don't bother coming in tomorrow.
Still having issues with payroll and I left a while ago!
