Pros

good discount okay pay most sales staff are friendly

Cons

extremely cliquey higher management (all of them are either related or best chums and have worked there for years) favouritism by higher management expectations of staff is too high (they pull you to the side or off the shop floor to criticise your sales techniques almost every shift and pick on the tiniest details) mgmt refuse to push HQ for CCTV to be installed (the amount of times staff would be assaulted or harassed by the public was awful and with no cctv, the police can’t help) have to put on fake smiles unhygienic conditions in the back of house, never on top of keeping the place clean and tidy

Souless Cult with a decent discount

Pros

Good staff discount, lots of glitter (if you're into that) and that's about it.

Cons

Was constantly ostracized by managers and other staff - if you aren't part of the Lush cult then you are pushed out like it's a high school clique, even by upper head office management. No help for anyone struggling or with disabilities. I watched good managers struggle with constantly doing extra work and putting their heart and soul into their work to be crushed by head office time and time again, eventually leading to such great staff eventually leaving. I watched manu staff crack it at being underpaid, we screamed for years about the rostering and wanting to not be on a paper system, and lo and behold, turns out they had underpaid us for years because of that paper system we were fighting them over. It looks like a happy place but in reality its a toxic, nasty cult with a lot of cutting corners and backstabbing. Even the products are cheapened up compared to what they used to.
