      Truly incredible people and autonomy in most teams

      Pros

      Medical aid, incredible leadership and people, transparency all the way up to CEO. The autonomy to take an idea to management and often be there to see it materialise.

      Cons

      Each team's dynamics are different. I can only speak for mine.

      Best colleagues and management style

      Pros

      Coming from a large corporate background where people typically fit into a “mould”, what stood out most during my one year at Luno have been the different people with amazing attributes that I get to work with and learn from. This, together with the management style that is invested in seeing one grow and flourish, is truly refreshing.

      Nothing that comes to mind.

      An ambitious company striving to get it right when it comes to growth

      Pros

      Communication and ideas sharing is encouraged. Openness to new ideas. Flat management structure. Very easy to talk to senior management. Great people team. Makes use of new technologies and agile practices - not just in development, The fleet pod structure creates higher degrees of autonomy.

      Cons

      The downsides that come with rapid growth - can be quite chaotic and things change quickly. Turning from a small startup to a larger global company means that things are becoming more standardised and checkboxed. This is not necessarily bad - depends on what you want.
