Pros

Excellent pay and benefits. Industry leading setting with nigh infinite portability and coworkers who are knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons

Leadership sees people as numbers only. Performance metrics are contradictory and nonsensical. Soulless, hyper corporate environment where the only clear objective is to minimize expense and maximize profit by any means necessary.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Unfortunately, at times, restructuring, reorganizations, or realignment to business realities is needed to drive our continued transformation and company growth. These decisions are difficult and not something we take lightly. Lumen understands the impacts these events have on our employees and provides support and guidance through the challenging transitions.

Pros

Company is in a stage of growth and revision in the telecommunications sector. Projects were clearly defined if not well designed, engineered, and properly budgeted. Decent benefits including accruing vacation and sick leave, health, dental, and others.

Cons

Working as a project/ program manager is a misnomer. As an experienced project manager in waterfall/ agile/ and hybrid methodologies, with PMP certification, scope of job was more accurately described as Construction coordinator/ project auditor. Span of control was limited to handing off of externally contracted engineering projects to externally contracted construction companies, and auditing posted expenditures within scope of project. noteworthy to state that my time here was during a transition, with inexperienced and poor leadership that was focused primarily on cutting costs -which in many instances resulted in tension, high turnover, and strained and damaged relationships with adjacent utilities, third party contractors, and other members of the corporate team. Pay (salary) well below industry standard for a PMP. I was the only PMP in my group of peers. most were pulled from other areas of expertise throughout the company (internet service sales, internet service technicians).
