Pros

Great career opportunity, benefits, room to grow ... ect

Cons

It was a hostile work environment when I quit at this location. I was very sad to go but management staff was out of control. Out of my 9 years with Lowe's, it ready is a great company to work for. I believe the store manager got fired not to long after I jumped ship and some other managers quit as well from what I heard.

Pros

Easy job, good products, fair pricing, product knowledge, clean and orderly store

Cons

Workplace bullying is swept under the rug and not addressed. I have worked for Lowe's store 1750 in Ann Arbor, Mi. for 1 year 11 months. One employee on 3 separate occasions bullied me, threatened me, talked horribly about me, and has verbally attacked me. Management will do nothing about it. This same employee goes into the break room 10 minutes before her shift is up every single day, comes in to work on her scheduled days off, steals company food, and has caused problems for other employees as well and it is all overlooked.

Lowes sucks

Pros

Not much to say here. Most of the employees are pretty good to work with. The only way to move up in this company is to be an idiot, so if you are a lazy idiot you will move up fast. You can be a horrible worker and have no experience with lowes and just do good on an interview and be a department manager no problem. I had to help train my department manger and I'm part time...ain't that some crap.

Cons

Poor management. Don't interact enough with their peers. Managers will tell you to do obvious things you already know to do while you are doing it. They do not care about you either. They do not accept ideas or take any kind of advice. I was turned down for full time multiple times and confronted the HR manager about it. I said it isn't about the interview, it is about hard work, dedication, experience, and the strive, which he replied "Well if it was about hard work and dedication then you would have definitely got the job. I just thought to myself then that makes you more of a fool. Managers are too hard on hard workers and expect everything from them and always boss them around with no appreciation while they treat the lazy idiots like kings.
