Pros

Its an easy job, you get to sit on your rear end all day. The people you work with are generally semi-professional, former military and law enforcement. Otherwise, no other pro's.

Cons

Forced overtime is constant, working late hours to finish a route. Constant heat from management for working too much overtime, when they cannot effectively communicate between each other to resolve customer issues and scheduling problems. Constant change in schedule makes any sort of college difficult, if not impossible. Thankless.

Pros

Looks good on your resume. (must have integrity) Most of your coworkers and customers are very cool, down to earth people.

Cons

Can't trust anyone; not even your partner (even if u work with the same person consistently). Managers are liars. Very low pay; starting wage $10.50/hr (all other armored car services pay more). Armored crew & vault employees make the same wage. (Atm techs take the most risk, do the most work & most knowledgeable of any position in the company, but get paid the same as other employees.) Loomis policy is that drivers & messengers are crosstrained; however that is not reality....they do not continuously train employees on atm or commercial routes. Some employees may know how to do atms & commercial, but get paid the same wage as everyone else. (some employees only drive) Company does not care about employees. Common sense is at a minimum among management. Trucks are pieces of crap.

Can't think of one thing good about this company.

Cons

The turnover is so high with positions open for Branch Managers often. Two armored trucks were ambushed twice within a month and the company never mentioned it to employees. I had to see it on the news.
