Pros

Lockton is one of those rare finds in an employer. They have a great culture of We Live Service and Associates achieve growth in their careers and can become an expert in the field of brokering business insurance. Casual but professional work environment, beer Fridays, company picnics, wellness events, free workout facility, and great benefits package including paid parental leave. Great training for those new to the industry with mentoring and promotion opportunities.

Cons

Must be willing to apply yourself and work hard. Not an easy job. But worth the effort to build a lasting career with great friends with professional advancement and growth.

Decent pay, large and stable company, transportation perks - free parking or train pass, fairly flexible with time needed off unexpectedly

Cons

No training, heavy on office politics, unreasonable work load with little to no help, unwilling to approve over-time so that a heavy workload can be managed - forcing the employee to fall behind or break the rules and stay late anyway

Very friendly environment with a casual laid back demeanor. Pay is average but supportive management, great co workers, and beer and jeans at work are worth it.

Cons

Little consideration on new programs causes frustration. Growth potential is limited. Still very much a boys club in upper management.
