Pros

Option to work from home.

Cons

The first challenge for working here is how you start. If by temp agency, you will have to fight to earn your spot. If you have been there a while and know the right people you are good. there is little to no training. This is bad. pay attention to the one star reviews along all positions. You will definitely have to learn on your own and it helps to have experience and knowledge of the role before you apply. If you do not have the knowledge you WILL be set up to fail by managers and coworkers too. The race and sex ism card is definitely played here. Nepotism is at an all time high. Managers and Team leads are two faced and will use you to their advantage. Technology is outdated....I could go on and on. Pay attention to the one star reviews.....

Pros

Met some great people, good retirement at 6% match, good if you are in the good crowd, has good resources, new office building, flexible work arrangements

Cons

Below average pay with huge workload, ALOT OF BACKSTABBING, producers oversell and expectation for service people to match, management only looks out for themselves and fills employees with corporate BS, constant restructuring because so many are unhappy, trying to be a top public firm and lost it's identity, sexual lawsuits and other similar distractions

- Very pro-active with their Charity work

Cons

- Lack of communication - No support from Managers or 1-1's for years - Lack scale of bigger broker - Manipulate redundancy situation by removing work and Salesforce license prior to being told your job is at risk ! - From the day of notification of risk of redundancy to now the Partner has made no attempt to communicate or get in touch, despite being their PA for 4 years, which shows complete lack of people and empathetic skills! - Poor HR department who come across as rude and not interested. No help in retaining you, all they do is forward you a copy of the latest vacancies and then you have to wait for a month for the redundancy pay-out. - Whilst taking minutes in meetings, Senior Managers including a Partner would openly mock their staff. On one occasion they implied that because a member of staff didn't want to travel to London or attend nights out that she must therefore be suffering from domestic violence. They made jokes at people's expense and were so rude about their staff. - The Partner came up with loads of great ideas but never saw anything through and was so unorganised and it was all very last minute. Lacking basic planning skills. - They employed a Senior member of the team to sell a specific product, and they don't even have the backing of an insurer to sell that product, so now they have him writing marketing articles all day.
