The people who work for Lithia are awesome, Lithia wouldn't be such a delight with out the on-sight employees. Its a great place to start your career. if you good, someone will take you under their wing and teach you how to get to the next level

Lithia doesn't care about personal aspects of an employee's life. They expect employees to work off the clock, and most employees fear losing their jobs based on the whimsical decisions of upper management.

Great place to learn the business, but too many reasons right now to leave once you've learned it.

Lots of opportunity for advancement within the company. Great place to learn the car business, including finance, sales, management.

Cons

Employee turnover (especially in the sales department) is extremely high, approaching 200% per year for sales and around 100% company-wide, and that was before this big layoff they just had due to the downturn in the car business and the US economy in general. Lithia did/does a miserably bad job of competing in their metro dealerships. They have flip flopped on their business model first 180 degrees, then another 180 degrees back.They should be able to make it back to viability, but there is going to be some pain and suffering felt by a lot of employees (as if there hasn't been already).
