Pros

This is a small company owned by a large Italian holding company. Plenty of flexibility and consistent work in a global market where layoffs do happen, but are rare.

Cons

Being held by a foreign entity is a challenge because they don't operate like US companies

Pros

The pay is very good. Health Benefits could be better but who isn't paying more for less these days. Time off 12 holidays per year, 40 sick hours, I'm up to 3 weeks vacation which might be a con since I have so much work I rarely can take vacation. But I have work, continued workload = continued lifestyle. Been promoted more than one time since starting here. Not perfect, but generally good

Cons

Every year the Italians re-organize, set new limitations on spending and process then to ice the cake, they add another 1- to 15 million of sales goal to whatever the last year was and set unrealistic expectations. Every organization jumps through any hoop they can to get by but no relief from the arrogant glitterati across the Atlantic.

Pros

if you like flying things this is a great company to enter the aerospace & defence industry. It's very big, part of the italian industrial group Finmeccanica, which employs more than 70.000 people. There are opportunities to make experience in different areas and for lots of travelling if you are in sales, marketing, support or training. Most of the people are engineers, so if you come from a background different from engineering or business, you won't have much chances either to get a job or to change function when in. Best culture is in the British branch in yeovil, they run lots of programmes for students, undergrads and graduates. Check out the careers section on the website.

Cons

Big company with an italian management means just this: bureaucratic, slow, no clear vision, poor ethic. If you like fast-paced industries and companies, forget about this one. Moreover, know that Finmeccanica is a state-owned company where the italian government owns the 30%..
