Pros

Company with history and strong name.

Cons

Exploited remote work to pay employees doing the same job much less than pre pandemic. This company doesn't work on employees best interests, plenty of Employment Tribunal decisions against Leonardo available on gov.uk

Leonardo Response

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we are sorry for the delay in responding to you. We are disappointed to receive your comments about working at Leonardo. We regularly benchmark our employment practices to ensure they support our employees and create a high performing environment. Like many organisations these were adapted following the pandemic to reflect a more flexible, employee led approach, while at the same time we continued to invest in our employees benefits. Our approach to this was recognised by Investors in People in 2023 where we won the Best Flexible Working Policy Award. Whilst we work hard to ensure a positive employee relations environment for all our of employees we respect the right of people to challenge this at times and our record at Employment Tribunals is public record.

Pros

Decent PTO and free health insurance

Cons

Women are treated very poorly by Italian counterparts. Low morale. HR couldn’t care less about actual issues and take months to respond. High turnover and again, HR talks about ways to improve retention and never follow through. All problems are “urgent” because no one in management cares to be proactive. Timelines don’t exist. People who aren’t qualified get promotions while all competent employees quit and HR doesn’t bat an eye.

Pros

Competitive non-salary benefits, free coffee and tea in break rooms, well kept office facilities. Most importantly, very cool products and good industry experience.

Cons

Toxic boys-club culture where high performance is not rewarded and promotions are wholly based on social status, your career progress is very limited if you cannot speak Italian, a few of the first line managers are micromanagers and others have very little or no qualifications, Human Resources and other key departments will take months to reply with critical information
