Pros

Overall great benefits package that pushes people to have a good work life balance. The company are actively trying to improve as a whole and listen to the employees feedback.

Cons

There is still a culture of people wanting to pass the blame (although this is a small group) it can make it a negative work environment. However, the majority of people are lovely

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. Your feedback is valuable to us and we’d appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experiences including areas you feel we can improve. Whilst we appreciate there is more we could do, we believe we are making progress. We had more new starts to our Edinburgh Engineering teams in 2024 than in any previous year and our Gender Pay Gap has continually decreased every year since 2021. We encourage you to speak to the Edinburgh HR team to discuss this further.

Pros

Really interesting technology, lots of resources, good work life balance and good salary.

Cons

Process heavy sometimes preventing engineers getting the job done. "Sloping shoulder" attitude where colleagues dump their work on you (mainly cause most engineers are stretched). Boys club culture, a lot of unconscious bias and a few outdated attitudes. E.g. people complain about positive discrimination when their are 90% white men in technical roles is a bit bonkers. Not unusual for women to change departments due to a few misogynistic bad eggs, HR aren't active in supporting issues. Issues generally hit a ceiling and aren't resolved.
