      - Fascinating technical areas - Some genuinely talented and supportive colleagues - Relaxed working environment with good work-life balance

      Cons

      - Career progression often feels relationship-based, there is poor transparency around workplace conduct concerns - Little accountability for performance or delivery - Chronic deadline slippage has become normalised - Resistant to change and innovation - Technical expertise is underrepresented at management level - No credible career progression framework currently exists for research scientists

      Technology is interesting and challenging.

      Cons

      Salaries of longer serving employees is often held back with new staff starting on higher salary or levels with me experience or knowledge of systems and processes. Old buildings and inadequate staff parking.

      Great work life balance on shifts

      Pros

      - 4 days on, 4 days off shift is a gamechanger for my worklife balance. - Shift premium of 35% / 40% is industry leading - 15% pension contribution when you put in 8% (23% total) is outstanding.

      Cons

      - Can have long periods of trying to find enough work to fill a day fallowed by short lived busy periods. Would be better to have a consistant flow of work to fill timesheets but it is what it is - Base pay without shift premium isn't amazing and lower then industry standard. Wouldn't work here without shifts
