Pros

Majority of staff are friendly. Free coffee. Sample sales. Health cover* There aren't many more pros that I can think of. *see cons.

Cons

Very bad pay. No microwave until 2pm in cafeteria. Discount not much use if male. Discount can't be used online. Management can't communicate with each other. Management blaming everyone but themselves. Management often lie and make you look bad. Actually got told I need to take the blame for mistakes made before I even worked there. Expected to arrive up to 40 minutes early and sometimes stay late despite not getting paid overtime. Health cover only really any good if you break your back or get cancer. Building very cold.

Pros

Good discount on discontinued products. Offers available for customers often match or better staff discount, so not sure staff discount is all it's cracked up to be. Good uniform allowance. Good brand with some quality products. Time and a half on Sundays, decent holiday allowance. Supportive shopfloor team

Cons

Attitudes from higher management to shopfloor staff not great. A lot is expected for minimum wage; selling credit cards and interest free credit, made-to-measure orders that can be complicated, too many sales (all the time) which customers are noticing, so devalues the products' full price as they are barely ever that price. Constantly changing the sale branding takes up a lot of time when staffing is low yet they want you to focus on customer service. Deliveries are often too big and not the products needed in store.
