Pros

Company car and bonus’s. Slight creative side of the actual interior design visit to a customers house.

Cons

Always having to work weekends as we would always have to work when there was a sale - incase you hadn’t notice LA have a sale ALL THE TIME. You have to seriously panic-work to hit your targets, and hitting your targets gets your bonus.

Pros

Worked at a concession stand based in House of Fraser. It was only for the clothing and stand was rather small. Was rather laid back and I enjoyed working there because of the people.

Cons

Understaffed meaning wasn't always able to get cover for holidays as it was just me and another colleague who oversaw the concession stand. Management was very lax and we rarely saw them. Stock allocation didn't take into account the small retail space we had on the shop floor so we didn't always have enough fixtures and fittings to properly showcase all the items of clothing we had and we often had a large amount of stock in the backroom. It was frustrating also because we had a large number of sale stock which never shifted.

Pros

Great team in store. The brand attracts lovely like minded people. Enjoyed new season launches and being surrounded by some gorgeous products although at the end of my employment the quality greatly reduced!! What started as a generous staff uniform allowance became really tight as while the clothing prices increased season on season the allowance only increased maybe once in my 11 years!!

Cons

Unrealistic, mostly unatanable targets causing store morale to drop. Constantly pushing credit to each and every customer £5-£5,000 spends... Poor communication from regional managers. Quality of products is going down and down. Pay is awful in comparison to the likes of John Lewis, M&S and other competitors. Lack of paid over time but still expected to do it EVERY week!!
