A Company that Doesn't Care

Pros

Since Language Services Associates is a 24/7 call center, they are very flexible with hours. I do think that this position was great for students. But that is about it.

Cons

Where to start... Low pay. You used to get a dollar raise after your 90 days but they got rid of that since they switched to a once call at a time system, which made sense but the system itself if awful and the coordinators constantly got yelled at by clients for the system error. Management would come up with ideas and events but then never follow through. This company is the worst with consistency. One rule would apply to one employee but another another. They allowed someone to be late 4 times, when the rule is 3 times within their 90 day. they gave him an extra chance but fired someone for their first offense complaint. No suspension, and this person was truly one of the best coordinators, and they got fired for one mistake. The benefits are a joke. Working full time and so many people were still broke, unhappy and struggling. The company makes so much money but the only people that see it are the managers. They don't care about their employees. They truly are replaceable to LSA. Its sad.

Pros

Full benefits, you will meet nice educated people from every walk of life here.Free coffee/Tea.You might make friends, If you go with the crowd.Flexible schedule.

Cons

The pay is basically $12 to start. There are a lot of nepotism, management do not care at all. You will be bombarded with responsibilities which they never explain during the interview. They will clearly lie to you about what the job is going to be. If you do not perform you will be given warnings and some people have been fired two weeks in the job. It is awful place to work. You will never make a career here. This is a place to work until you get something better or finish school. You will not be able to feed a family with the salary you receive here.

Pros

One of the most diverse environments I've worked in. Everyone LSA hires tends to be of the same open, friendly, and globally diverse mindset, which makes for a really fun office and easily built relationships with coworkers. The hours are fair and flexible, and management is always -really- understanding and accommodating to staff needs. The pay is relative to the work expected of you, and most of the opportunities, while there are fine details, are low-stress, and you're never asked to bring anything home. You are well-rewarded for growth in your position, taking initiative, and taking on projects, which makes you feel much more valued and less like a cog. Management is quick to recognize when someone has gone above and beyond in their role. People take issue with the no-phone on the call center floor policy, but there really are no companies where texting at work is acceptable, especially not when dealing with sensitive medical information. There are plenty of other places in the office where you can use your phone.

Cons

This is a small office where just about everyone knows everyone else. Secrets are not easily kept and word gets around fast.
