Pros

Ability to be trained and work from home. From the comfort of your house you can work in a highly regarded career without the expense of a wardrobe, commute, gas and parking expense. This company will train and give you all the resources necessary to perform well.

Cons

This company offers one of the lowest per minute salary regardless of the ability, training and documentation required to perform it. Many of their interpreters have court qualified status, have been working for them for some time, are in the list of several judges and companies as preferred interpreters, have bachelors, masters and even PhD;s but their pay continues to be the same as recently hired, non-professional, non-degreed interpreters.

Pros

The pros is that my management was flexible with time off... the very little time that you do get off.

Cons

The blatant favoritism and racism that I experienced and witnessed was overwhelming. I had a manager who was an alcoholic. My job allowed her to show up to work drunk and with vodka in her water bottle on multiple occasions. Because she was friends with the higher manager she was allowed to get away with this for over 8 years. They do not pay you nearly what you should make for the amount of work that you do. It's insane. You absolutely cannot raise a family on the 11 or 12 dollars that they will start you at. Do not expect more than a quarter raise no matter what you do.

A Company that Doesn't Care

Pros

Since Language Services Associates is a 24/7 call center, they are very flexible with hours. I do think that this position was great for students. But that is about it.

Cons

Where to start... Low pay. You used to get a dollar raise after your 90 days but they got rid of that since they switched to a once call at a time system, which made sense but the system itself if awful and the coordinators constantly got yelled at by clients for the system error. Management would come up with ideas and events but then never follow through. This company is the worst with consistency. One rule would apply to one employee but another another. They allowed someone to be late 4 times, when the rule is 3 times within their 90 day. they gave him an extra chance but fired someone for their first offense complaint. No suspension, and this person was truly one of the best coordinators, and they got fired for one mistake. The benefits are a joke. Working full time and so many people were still broke, unhappy and struggling. The company makes so much money but the only people that see it are the managers. They don't care about their employees. They truly are replaceable to LSA. Its sad.
