Thank you for taking the time to share your review on your experience with our company. We appreciate both the positive aspects you mentioned and the areas where we can improve. We're thrilled to hear that you have had the opportunity to meet wonderful people and make lifelong friends within LRG. Building positive relationships and a supportive community is something we strive for, and it's great to know that we've been successful in that regard. We are disappointed to hear of your concerns about low pay and lack of flexibility. We continuously review our pay structure to ensure that it aligns with industry benchmarking. Additionally, we are actively exploring ways to enhance flexibility and accommodate the diverse needs of our employees by enhancing our benefits package and reducing working hours. For example we have recently made changes as we now open for half a day on a Saturday in our branches and property managers no longer work weekends to facilitate a better work life balance. Treating everyone equally and ensuring consistency in our approach is a fundamental principle we strive to uphold. This is why we encourage you to reach out to the HR team directly, hrdepartment@lrg.co.uk with any specific instances or concerns you have encountered, so that we can address them appropriately. Your feedback highlights a crucial issue that we need to address, and we will take immediate steps to investigate and address any inconsistencies in our policies. We appreciate your advice, and we are dedicated to ensuring that all employees are treated fairly, with the same set of rules and expectations applied to everyone. We hope to hear from you soon with the details of the inconsistencies experienced. Thank you again for sharing your review with us. Razna – HR Department.

Pros

Best thing about working for leaders was a letting I was given with a token for a shopping trolly

Cons

Company car cost me £150 a month to run, I’ve never had to pay to go to work, which was difficult with the salary being so poor. I was told I couldn’t have a pay rise because I was pregnant. No support, training, sent into properties with volatile tenants on my own. Shouted abuse while driving the company car, then had to pay for a scratch on it. This is just a snippet of what I went through working for this company, after leaving the company I spoke to HR where the blame was put on myself for not contacting them, when actually I didn’t feel like I could and also didn’t know the process of reporting anything before this as I was completely left on my own to do a job, when working from home I didn’t hear from the office for 2 weeks, I used to get missed out of round robin emails. I was told my comments would be passed on, I’m not holding my breath for any sort of response as it’s now been weeks, and I was told your manager has now left the company so nothing can be done. Working for this company cost me a fortune, don’t do it

Thank you for your feedback. We are extremely disappointed to hear of your experience at Leaders Romans Group. We are aware of the feedback you raised after you had left the company which was fully discussed with your local senior management and a full response was provided to you via email. There was certainly no blame put on you for not raising this sooner, it was more that unfortunately there was little that could be done by the time that it was raised as the individual in question had since left the company. Our salaries are in-line with industry benchmarking and as part of our salary review period in Q1 of each year those on maternity leave are included within these reviews. In terms of training, we have extensive training programmes dedicated to Property Management & Inspectors and other programmes tailored to those colleagues who provide front office services to our customers. The offer on training is sent regularly through email from the training team in HR to all staff which contains email addresses for all LRG employees. We have also recently reviewed our onboarding journey to centralised the training provided to new starters and launched a new LMS to make training even more accessible for all staff. With regards to your company car, the monthly running cost of this is not something I believe was raised when you spoke with my team. We have a dedicated car fleet team on hand to support with any maintenance or company car concerns and in line with your job title of Property Inspector I would assume that you had a VW Polo as your company car. We would certainly not expect such high running costs especially for a vehicle of this level as the cost of all fair wear and tear, services and MOTs is covered by the company along with business expenses for company mileage being reimbursed every 2 weeks and this car being on a low BIK tax bracket. Thank you for taking the time to provide this review and I hope that my reply provides some further clarity on the matters should you ever wish to re-join us in the future. Sophie – Group HR Manager
