Pros

In office I've experienced a friendly, helpful & flexible attitude to the working and personal environment.

Cons

I feel there are far too many chiefs all of which do the same job, the areas for money saving is never at the management level which I feel is short-sighted of leaders but obviously to the office levels.

Pros

Great team ethos among those who aren't part of upper management. Management beyond branch manager will listen and often act upon any concerns raised - you just have to be able to get to them first.

Cons

There are no bonuses or incentives you'd usually find at a large company. The pay does not reflect the effort or hours work; many colleagues were earning £1000s more a year yet doing the same job. Unfortunately there isn't much support for those who announce they are pregnant; you are penalised and won't be considered for any promotions to management despite several years experience in a particular department; instead you are relocated to a random role with no set title and given nonsense jobs to do (e.g. fetching and carrying documents from the printer for your line manager). Upper management prone to mood swings and can turn on you in a second for no good reason.
