Pros

Many of the staff here are really good people who almost outshine the negative aspects of the company. The benefit package is also above average.

Cons

Upper management wrote all of the recently-posted positive reviews. They are FAKE. Think about it - how else would twenty glowing reviews suddenly appear in a two-day span?? Truth is that the company is coming apart at the seams. Like i mentioned above there are lots of good people still here, but if anyone disagrees with upper management or stands up to them, they are demoted, punished, and/or fired. Most people are bideing their time and looking for other jobs. There are lots of problems here, and posting a whole bunch of obviously fake reviews is not going to help the company's image.

Pros

Good solid program. Ever since I started with Kumon, I have felt that I was able to give back to the community through hard work and dedication to learning the program. The individual branch teams are a family type atmosphere.

Cons

Wow, where to start. This place is considered a "money trap" where it looks good on the outside, but once you get in, you are sorry you did. It has gotten so bad at Kumon that the CFO has offered an IPAD Competition to see who can post the most positive review of the company. So you if you see an influx of recent positive reviews, they are, in essence, paid to write them. Management is at odds with each other. If they would take a minute to stop pacifying their own egos and objectives, they may see that they actually have hard working people around the company. The COO and new leadership from Japan cant even agree on how to implement the product. There hasnt been a feud like this since the Hatfield and McCoys, and it trickles down the chain to the ground level. Good people are leaving left and right because of how they have been treated. The COO does not have a clue on how to relate to people and makes up facts as he goes. Word of advice is if he quotes statistics to you, ask him for hard facts, because more often than not, they are fabricated to either make himself look good, or to try to scare people into submission or to accomplish his work.

Pros

Sometimes when they have catered meetings there is left over food that we get to eat.

Cons

It's curious how there are a dozen glowing 5 star reviews within a 24 hour period. Makes you think maybe thin skinned managers had the employees write fabricated positive reviews to counter effect all the genuine negative ones. It's also curious that most are from Hebron KY where our worksheet warehouse and distribution center is. Could it be they made their employees write fake reviews? Of course they did. I was told so by one of my friends there. The headquarters and branch staff would never have played along since they know all the negative reviews are true. Unfortunately, tactics like these are typical of this insular, brainwashing, and lead-by-intimidation company. Stay away if you're a professional seeking a career and respect.
