Pros

Work Life balance in the pre covid days.

Cons

Old Boys club - young mediocre white guys, this is the organization for you! Wouldn't suggest any POC apply here...lots of racial microaggressions and gaslighting by HR. Salaries across the board are lower than market rate. CEO doesn't "believe" in annual salary increases, so employees only get raises(less than 10%) with promotions which might only happen every couple of years. Most women of child bearing age, work here for the long maternity leave and usually leave right after giving birth. This is an organization that has been building the plane while they're in it for decades.

Pros

Flexible working from home arrangement, Location decent

Cons

If you love process for the sake of process, this is the place for you. Admin work is extremely long and tedious and record entry takes up a large portion of whatever role you are in. Often this is just being duplicated across multiple systems. Korn Ferry does not believe in their own products. No training for staff, engagement surveys are never conducted, talent assessment not used, market pay rates are ignored. These are all products and solutions, Korn Ferry asks their clients to pay thousands to millions for but refuse to use themselves for free. Blogs and webinars also reflect this, with great insight and studies on business best practices then internally strategies are conducted in the easiest, cheapest ways, often directly against what is being told to the market. Managers regularly flip flop on strategies and changes are implemented toward lower level staff with 0 notice and 0 consultation. Many colleagues I know wish to leave and are staying due to the COVID Economy.

Pros

Korn Ferry is a reputable company

Cons

Although my personal work experience with Korn Ferry can be categorized as standard, I did notice the lack of diversity in mindset, backgrounds, gender and ethnicity in groups outside of my direct reports. For a company that values itself on developing & motivating their client’s talent, KF seem to miss the mark internally with it’s own employees. Even with the rise of the company’s profits, the compensation of staff is stagnant which may be the cause of the high turnover rate. In today’s climate, companies should be more mindful of their inclusion, diversity, and cultural awareness and sadly Korn Ferry turns a blind eye to them all. The lack of POC in senior roles is obvious and a stark difference to the world outside of it’s office walls. I’m interested to know what % of the staff are women and people of color remain after mass layoffs and furloughs due to the latest pandemic.
